The 41-year-old former soccer star Cao Jinhui yesterday shared a training video on his Facebook fan group, where the speed meter measured a ball speed of 148 km, leaving many fans amazed.

Former American pitcher Kuo Hong-chih once said that Cao Jinhui was Taiwan's "best pitching talent." Cao made his debut in the major leagues in 2003, playing for the Rockies, Dodgers, and Royals. In 2008, he returned to Taiwan to join the Zhongvocational Brothers Elephant team, but the next year was listed as a defendant in the match-fixing case, and eventually was not prosecuted for lack of criminal evidence. In 2015, Cao Jinhui came back without many years of actual combat experience, joined the Dodgers and once stood on the major league mound, and finally announced his retirement in 2017.
