Brazilian striker Vinicius Jr., who plays for Real Madrid in La Liga, was racially abused by rival fans on the 21st, and won support from teammates and fans on the 24th, with all players wearing the No. 20 shirt.
Real Madrid 24 at home against Vallecano team, Vinicius because of knee pain did not play, but appeared on the pitch. The whole Real Madrid team, including the reserve players, wore Vinicius' number 20 shirt on the field, showed his name to the camera camera and clapped for him.
There were also many fans in the stands displaying posters in support of Vinicius, and a giant banner opened behind one of the goals that read: "We are all Vinicius, enough."
After thanking everyone on the pitch for their support, Vinicius watched the match from the stands with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. After 20 minutes of applause in the first half, Vinicius stood up in the stands to repay everyone for their support for him.
The two teams joined forces to display the slogan of the campaign against racism: "Racists, get out of football."
Vicent Flor, a Spanish sociologist and scholar of far-right movements, pointed out that the racial slurs directed at Vinicius by Yomus, an extremist fan group for Valencia at the weekend, are clearly far-right and fascist ideology.
"Police and judicial forces are needed to deal with racists, racism has no place in sport or society, and this fascist minority needs to be driven out of the world of football."
Yomus was born in the 1980s as a product of the influence of the British far-right camp, which Valencia and other Spanish football teams allowed to exist. These groups promote violence and spread neo-Nazi, anti-Semitic and far-right slogans to agitate fans and spread a platform to guide young people into politics.
The Spanish police are also influenced by the far right and contribute to the activities of these groups, so Frow defended the use of mechanisms already provided for in the Spanish constitution to legally suppress these organized supporters of the far right, both inside and outside the football stadium, who promote racism, homophobia and hate crimes.
Flo pointed out that the football field reflects what happens in society, and he admitted that the image of Valencia has been seriously damaged, but it is wrong to assume that all fans of the team are guilty because of the Vinicius incident.
Since its inception, Yomus has been notorious for violent behavior and attacks on fans of different ideologies, with members often wearing swastikas and tattoos.
Yomus was banned from the Mestalla football stadium after violently attacking left-wing protesters while celebrating Valencia's Community Day on 9 October 2019. But it re-emerged in January this year with a new look, occupying the stand behind the goal in the north section of the stadium and from there hurling racial slurs at Vinicius.
