The Mariners, who lost their second straight game to Astros Yordan Alvarez on a come-from-behind home run, will return home 0-2. Mariners super rookie Julio "J-ROD" Rodriguez isn't discouraged about being on the brink. We can still compete with them.
The Mariners took a two-run lead into the bottom of the ninth, only to be knocked out by Alvarez. In the second game, Alvarez knocked in two runs against the Astros in 6 games, 2-1, and the team lost to the Astros 4-2, leaving it 0-2 in the series and one loss away from elimination.
The back-to-back reversals didn't sit well with Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh, either. "It makes me sick that he beat us two games in a row, one-handed," Raleigh said. "As a catcher, I take some of the blame for that.
