MLB/Pirates Castello Baserunners Fall Out Of Cell Phone League To Investigate

Pirates infielder Rodolfo Castro threw out his cellphone, a joke to fans, but Major League Baseball is taking it seriously and has launched an investigation to prevent illegal use of electronic equipment.
The incident happened in the top of the fourth inning of the game between the Pirates and Diamondbacks on Sunday. When Castro jumped to third base, his phone fell out of his pocket. The third base judge pointed to the phone on the floor, and Castro quickly handed it to the third base instructor and continued the game.
After the game, Castro explained that WHEN he put his sliding glove in his pocket, he accidentally put his cell phone in it. "It was an inadvertent thing. No professional player brings a cell phone to the court." He also acknowledged that he had made mistakes and had to learn from them.
MLS officials are taking The matter seriously, and according to The Athletic, The league will conduct an investigation to determine if Castro violated The league's policy on The use of electronic devices on The field and bench. The only devices allowed in The league are ipads. It is not clear if Castro will be fined.
