In the previous game against the Kings, the Rockets were called for a foul on De'Aaron Fox's 3-pointer with 0.3 seconds left and allowed three straight free throws to come back. Today's game against the Heat, the Rockets again left 0.3 seconds to open the basket door, directly to the Butler (Jimmy Butler) "through the back door" for the first time alley-oop winning dunk. The Rockets lost their fifth straight game, 95-97.
Butler had 16 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals; Tyler Herro had 31 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, and Bam Adebayo had 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two interceptions. Max Strus added 14 points off the bench.
Although it was against the bottom team in the Western Conference, but the home game was not easy for the Heat, the first three quarters of the end of the only two points, even into the fourth quarter could not effectively open the lead, Butler scored 10 points in the quarter, all concentrated in the final 2 1/2 minutes, once put Miami ahead by two points.
Rookie Jabari Smith then converted a pair of free throws as the game looked set to go into an extended overtime. But the Rockets' 0.3 second spell was renewed, and on the Heat's final run, Gabe Vincent's baseline serve failed to keep up with Butler's movement, allowing him to drive to the basket and dunk the ball first.
Smith led the Rockets with 22 points and eight points, KJ Martin Jr. had 17 points and Alperen Sengun had 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
