NBA/Lakers Lose 3 Straight Games To Be Heard Magic Johnson: Must Apologize To Nugget

The Golden Nuggets' 3-0 loss in the NBA's Western Conference championship game prompted Lakers legend Magic Johnson to exclaim that the Golden Nuggets were the more talented team.

"Apologies to the Nuggets," Johnson wrote after the Golden Nuggets beat the Lakers 119-108 on Sunday. "Their win over the Lakers tonight proved that they are the better and more talented team and reminded both teams in the East Conference championship game that they are committed to winning a championship."

Johnson's emphasis on Golden Nugget defense kept Lakers guards Dennis Schroder and D'Angelo Russell completely out of rhythm. "When you have two superstars, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, playing at a high level and looking like no one can stop you," he said. "If they keep playing like this, Gold will win the championship."
