Us Open/former Wimbledon Champion Rebachina Was The Fourth Seed To Lose To Sersty

Sersti beat Russian-born Rybachna 6-3, 6-7 (6/8), 6-4 and will next play Swiss Belinda Bencic in the round of 16 on Wednesday. This is the first time Sursty has reached the fourth round of the US Open.

"I'm very satisfied with my win today, I've lost to her twice, she's a very good player, No. 4 in the world and I knew it was going to be a tough match," Sursty said, Reuters reported. "I'm very happy now, it's a big moment for me."

Facing the next opponent Bansicki, Cirsty said she would not think too far, "one match at a time, everyone is playing well at this stage of the tournament, I am happy that all the hard work gradually paid off."
