One of the many controversies surrounding the World Cup in Qatar includes the local ban on homosexuality. In order to support the LGBTQ community, Team USA's training center and media center in Qatar have been decorated with rainbow elements, and the seven straight lines on the team logo have been changed from red to seven colors.

With less than a week to go before the start of the World Cup, the United States announced on Thursday that it would bring a seven-color version of its logo to Qatar. Head coach Bahalt said it was important to step into the stadium in Qatar to raise awareness of the issue.

The seven-color version of the U.S. team's logo appeared for the first time when the U.S. soccer team launched its "Be The Change" campaign to focus on various affirmative action campaigns after the death of Floyd in 2020, which shocked the country. "I hope to bring attention to social issues not only in the United States, but also around the world," Bahar said. "We recognize that Qatari society has made significant progress, but there is still a lot of room for further efforts."

Goalkeeper Johnson also said that the rainbow logo outside the stadium and the team are a symbol of their belief in the inclusiveness of society, "this is what we have always been proud of and strive for, and will continue to speak out in Qatar."

A Team USA spokesman said the rainbow logo will not appear on the jerseys, but will be widely used in areas associated with the team, including training centers, media centers, hotels and events.
