Roger Federer has announced he will retire from tennis after the 2022 Laver Cup, but his fitness coach said the Swiss Express could wait until the last minute to decide whether to play singles or doubles, leaving the final dance in doubt.
Roger Federer announced his retirement and said he would retire from tennis after this week's Lavo Cup, but the tennis superstar's fitness coach Pierre Paganini said in an interview that the decision would be made at the last minute. "He HAS TRAINED TO THE SAME LEVEL AS BEFORE, BUT WE WILL HAVE TO SEE IF HE CAN PLAY."
Paganini also revealed in the interview that if he can't play singles, Federer will also have the chance to play doubles, "his goal is to win the championship, whether doubles or singles remains to be seen, but whether he wins the championship or not, he wants to play in the Lavo Cup."
The Lavo Cup will be held in London from September 23-25. The "BIG FOUR" FEDERER, NADAL, JOKOVIC, Murray, TSIPPAS AND ROOD ARE PLAYING IN THE European TEAM AGAINST THE WORLD TEAM.
