Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian Messi of Liverpool, scored three goals in 6 minutes and 12 seconds to become the fastest hat-trick in the history of the Champions League after coming off the bench to beat Glasgow Rangers 7-1 in the group stage of the Champions League on Sunday.

Liverpool play Glasgow Rangers in the fourth round of the Champions League group stage. Salah has yet to adjust his form this season, with only two goals and three assists in eight matches. He came off the bench and scored in the 75th, 80th and 81st minutes to complete his hat-trick.

The three goals took just six minutes and 12 seconds to complete, breaking the Champions League record for the fastest hat-trick in history. Salah touched the ball just nine times in the match, the fewest hat-tricks by a player in a single game since records began in 2003.
