Dodgers ace Tony Gonsolin won again, allowing only two hits and a scoreless run over seven innings in a 2-1 victory over the Brewers on Tuesday, giving the Dodgers his 15th win of the season and tying him for the major league lead with 39-year-old Justin Verlander of the Astros.

The Dodgers, who have won 21 of 26 games since the All-Star break, still have a major league-best 81-35 record and the only 80-win team this season.

Gonzolin PITCHED 95 PITCHES OVER SEVEN INNINGS, striking out EIGHT AND HOLDING THE BREWERS TO ZERO, improving TO 15-1 THIS SEASON WITH a.938 WINNING PERCENTAGE AND A 2.12 ERA THAT WAS SECOND in the NL, behind only the Marlins' Sandy Alcantara's 1.92.

Gonzolin DOMINATED THE FIELD THIS SEASON, PICKING UP HIS FIRST WIN AGAINST THE BRAVES ON April 21, ROLLING TO 11 STRAIGHT BEFORE LOSING TO THE NATIONALS ON July 26, THEN WINNING HIS FIRST CAREER START AGAINST THE BREWERS BY RETIRING NINE STRAIGHT BATTERS.

Brewers starter Eric Lauer also got off to a good start, allowing seven hits in seven innings and shutting down the Dodgers for the first five innings, but fell to 8-5 after being tagged out by Austin Barnes in the sixth and Max Muncy in the seventh.
