The Boston Celtic beat the Miami Heat 104-103 in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Championship on Monday, becoming the fourth team in history to win three games in a row from a 3-0 series deficit to extend its series to seven.
Sertic trailed Miami 2-3 in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference championship game. In the sixth game of the 27th game at Miami's home court, the two teams battled to the tiebreaker. Sertic led by only two points in the clock, but Sertic Horford fouled with three seconds left. Miami's Jimmy Butler converted three free throws to lead the comeback.
With the Heat in the game, Sertic survived a one-point basket by Derrick White to even the series at 3-3.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Celtic became only the fourth team in history to force a seven-game series after trailing 3-0.
However, the New York Knicks (1951), Denver Nuggets (1994) and Portland Pioneers (2003) all lost three games in a row to force Game 7 but failed to make it back. The Green Jackets can make history by winning their seventh game on Wednesday.
"Unbelievable," Celtic's official Twitter account tweeted after the game, along with a photo of White's game-winning basket.
Seltyk's Jayson Tatum had 31 points, 12 rebounds and five assists, joining Larry Bird as the second player in franchise history to record double figures of 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a postseason game, according to StatMuse.
Not only that, Tittom posted 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists for the seventh time this postseason, tying LeBron James for most in a single playoff season set in 2018.
